Mahama Cuts Sod for Bole College of Education, Announces Major Infra and Healthcare Projects

President John Dramani Mahama has cut sod for the construction of the Bole College of Education, describing the project as a “dream come true” for the people of Bole and the Savannah Region.

President Mahama stated that the new College of Education, with a projected capacity of 1,500 students, will significantly improve access to teacher training and higher education in the region.

He further outlined ongoing investments in education infrastructure across the Savannah Region, including a STEM secondary school at Tinga, a TVET centre at Kulmasa, and plans for a University of Science and Technology.

The President emphasized that these initiatives are aimed at bridging development gaps and empowering communities through education, describing it as key to tackling poverty and driving long-term growth.

He also announced major infrastructure and healthcare projects, including a new district hospital for Bole, upgrades to key road networks such as the Wenchi-Bamboi-Bole-Sawla highway, and plans for a modern 24-hour market to boost local economic activity.
