Government Committed to Completing Abandoned Projects Rather Than Partisan Politics – Roads Minister

The Minister for Roads and Highways, Governs Kwame Agbodza, has indicated that the current government remains committed to completing abandoned projects for the benefit of Ghanaians rather than engaging in partisan politics.

According to him, the administration of President John Dramani Mahama is dedicated to ensuring continuity in national development, regardless of which administration initiated a project.

Speaking during a road inspection tour of the North East Region, the Minister said the era of politics centred on claims and counterclaims over projects must give way to results-driven governance.

“I have heard some politicians sitting at home, after having eight years in office and doing very little about these issues, now trying to list what they claim to have achieved, while accusing others of taking advantage.

“It does not matter who started what. What matters is completing projects for the benefit of the Ghanaian people.

“If you had eight years and did very little, and now, by the grace of God, President Mahama has been given another opportunity, allow him the space to fix what you were unable to fix within that period,” he said.
