The Eastern South Regional Police Command has apprehended two suspects linked to a violent armed robbery at the Kwafokrom Goil filling station near Nsawam.
Amos Boame and Collins Adjei were taken into custody following the Sunday attack, while police launch a manhunt for a third accomplice, identified as Ashivie, who remains at large.

According to authorities, the robbers opened fire on a security guard and a pump attendant who were hiding in an on-site office.
The suspects fled the scene with 13,460 Ghana Cedis in cash alongside an undetermined amount of provisions.

Both victims survived the gunfire and are currently in stable condition.
Investigating officers recovered an array of weapons and tactical gear from the suspects, including an Alder Tupal pump-action gun (serial number 245A-12944), an electronic shocker, a cutlass, and a bulletproof vest.

A subsequent forensic sweep of the crime scene yielded nineteen spent cartridges and one live round of ammunition.

In a press statement signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) David Fianko-Okyere of the Public Affairs Unit, officials confirmed that operations are ongoing to track down the remaining fugitives.

Local authorities have urged residents to remain calm, noting that the regional police command has partnered with filling station management to implement heightened security measures across the area.
