Upon his arrival, President Mahama was received at the airport by Lord Katz MBE of the Royal Household and H.E. Gordon Wetherell, Special Representative of the Secretary of State for the FCDO.

According to a statement from Presidency Communications, the visit is designed to deepen bilateral relations, position Ghana as a top investment destination, and foster closer connections with Ghanaians living in the UK.

The President will attend a diaspora town hall meeting tonight, hosted by the Ghana High Commission.

On Monday, he will open the Ghana-UK Investment Summit at Raffles, an event structured to drive foreign direct investment and bridge partnerships between British investors and Ghanaian entrepreneurs.

In addition to trade and diplomatic talks, President Mahama will highlight Ghana’s financial market presence by ringing the opening bell at the London Stock Exchange.

His visit also features a scheduled address at Chatham House and a keynote speech at the 12th Africa Debate at the Guildhall.

The working visit concludes on June 3.
