The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has achieved a major breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking following the arrest of three suspects during a high-stakes, overnight operation at a suspected cannabis production and storage hub spanning Koleonu, Wegbe, and Akplamafu in the Volta Region.
Acting on credible intelligence, NACOC’s tactical operations team launched an intensive raid on a stash house believed to be a central facility for the cultivation, processing, and distribution of cannabis and hashish oil.

The carefully coordinated operation led to the successful apprehension of three principal suspects linked to the illicit trade.
This decisive strike underscores NACOC’s determination to dismantle drug syndicates that threaten public safety and community well-being.

It marks a significant step forward in the commission’s ongoing efforts to identify and disrupt illegal drug networks across the country.
The suspects are currently in custody assisting with investigations, as law enforcement works to uncover additional collaborators and trace connected supply routes.
They are expected to face prosecution in accordance with the law.
