More than 10 young men and women from the Bole-Bamboi Constituency have graduated as part of the first batch of Feed Ghana Brigades, in a ceremony held this morning at the Tesano Police Training School.

A total of 500 young Ghanaians graduated under the initiative by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture.

The programme is aimed at training youth to serve as agents to revolutionize agriculture and boost food production in the country.

The Bole-Bamboi graduates were part of the cohort under the leadership of the Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Alhaji Yusif Sulemana.

Congratulating the beneficiaries, Hon. Sulemana described their decision to join the brigade as a commitment to national development.

“It is our expectation that these brigades would ensure that the Bole District optimizes the full benefits of the Farmers Service Center earmarked for the District,” he said.

The Deputy Minister commended the Ministry of Food and Agriculture for the “noble initiative” and urged the new brigades to be dedicated vessels for transforming agriculture in their communities.

The Feed Ghana Programme is part of the government’s broader agenda to modernize agriculture, create jobs for the youth, and ensure food security.
