The Ghana Police Service has officially announced the commencement of the validation process for the 2025/2026 recruitment exercise, inviting the first batch of successful applicants to report to designated centres across the country.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, August 1, 2026, the police administration clarified that the ongoing validation exercise is a crucial phase aimed at verifying the credentials and documentation of all shortlisted candidates.
“The validation exercise allows for the verification of academic certificates, examination results, and all other documents submitted during the initial stage of the recruitment process,” the statement indicated.
Addressing applicants who are yet to receive invitations, the Police Service reassured those who have passed their medical checks that they remain in contention for subsequent phases of the recruitment process.
“All other applicants who successfully completed the medical examination and have been declared medically fit but have not been invited for validation are in the recruitment pool for consideration in subsequent batches,” the release stated.
The administration further appealed to candidates to exercise patience as the intake will be carried out progressively over the coming years.
“The Ghana Police Service urges all such applicants to remain patient and be rest assured that the recruitment process will continue in batches until 2028 in line with the recruitment schedule,” the statement added.
In light of potential scams, the police issued a strong warning to the public to beware of fraudsters seeking to exploit prospective recruits.
“We urge all applicants to disregard any misinformation on the recruitment exercise and also refrain from paying monies to any person or persons under the guise of facilitating their recruitment,” the statement signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director-General of Public Affairs, cautioned.
