CAGD Boss Kwasi Agyei Named Best-Performing Head of Department

The Controller and Accountant-General, Kwasi Agyei, has been named the Best-Performing Head of Department for 2025 at the Civil Service Awards Ceremony in Accra.

The event took place on Friday, 14 August 2026, at the Alisa Hotel, bringing together directors and departmental heads under the Ministry of Finance to celebrate public sector excellence.

Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang attended the ceremony and presented awards to the honourees.

Mr Agyei received the accolade for his leadership at the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) and its pivotal role in advancing public financial administration.

The annual awards aim to promote professionalism, accountability, and improved performance across the civil service.
