A young man is currently fighting for his life at the Koforidua Government Hospital after being partially burnt in a terrifying midnight attack at Adeiso in the Upper West Akim District of the Eastern Region.
The victim, identified simply as King, was reportedly set ablaze inside his home in Ayigbe Town, a suburb of Adeiso, during the dead of night.
Eyewitnesses who spoke to Nyankonton Mu Nsem’s Prince Collins Bening on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM revealed that King had engaged in a heated confrontation with a friend, known locally as Kwasi Akapela, shortly before the incident occurred.
Sensing foul play, several community members suspect Kwasi Akapela of committing the horrific act, citing the earlier dispute between the two men.
The victim suffered severe burn injuries across parts of his body and was rushed to the hospital, where medical staff are working around the clock to stabilize his condition.
Local police have been notified, and residents are calling for a swift investigation to apprehend the perpetrator behind the attack.
