A land dispute at Achiase, near Aboso in the Prestea Huni Valley Municipality, ended in tragedy when a man identified as Augustine Boah was stabbed to death.
Tensions between the two families had reportedly been mounting after 24-year-old Kofi Yena, also known as “Pogba,” warned Boah’s son not to ride his tricycle behind Yena’s house.
The conflict escalated on Thursday, August 20, into a confrontation over the land issue. During the altercation, Yena allegedly attacked Boah with a pair of scissors, inflicting fatal injuries.
The incident has left residents in shock.
Police have arrested Yena, and he remains in custody while investigations continue. Augustine Boah’s body has been deposited at the Tarkwa Municipal Hospital morgue pending an autopsy.
