Attorney General Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine has formed an 11-member Constitution Review Implementation Committee to advance reforms to Ghana’s 1992 Constitution.
Chaired by former Attorney General Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong, the body will analyze the government’s recent position paper and Professor H. Kwesi Prempeh’s earlier review report to design an execution strategy.
The panel includes Dr. Justice Srem Sai, Thomas Ampem Nyarko, Charlotte Osei, Dr. Rainer Akumperigya, and representatives from key institutions: Emelia Ankomah (Parliamentary Majority), Kwame Ayimadu Antwi (Parliamentary Minority), Samuel Passah (Local Government), and Eric Owusu-Mensa (Parliament).
Drafting duties fall to Salamatu Iliasu, with Oliver Baker Vormawor acting as secretary.
This step transitions accepted constitutional proposals into actionable measures, supporting the government’s stated goal of maintaining an open, inclusive reform process that reinforces national democratic governance.
