The Presidency has issued a stern warning to all Ministers, Deputy Ministers, and political appointees, demanding total discipline, integrity, and strict adherence to administrative procedures.
The caution follows recent ministerial changes and board dissolutions, alongside an upcoming reshuffle of Chief Executives across state institutions.
In a notice signed by the Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama, Ph.D., the Presidency emphasized that the ongoing structural changes reflect the President’s resolve to enforce accountability and enhance coordination within the administration.
“The recent ministerial changes and the dissolution of selected boards, together with the impending reshuffle of Chief Executives, reflect the President’s determination to strengthen institutional leadership, enhance coordination and ensure that every appointee remains fully aligned with the Government’s policies and priorities,” the statement read.
The notice made it clear that public office remains a privilege to serve the nation, warning that acts undermining governance will attract swift sanctions.
“Conduct that undermines governmental cohesion, institutional authority or the effective implementation of Government policy will not be tolerated,” Mahama stated, adding that performance across all sectors will remain under continuous review.
The Presidency urged all officials to discharge their duties with humility and diligence as the government works to deliver on its mandate.

Ministers are hereby reminded of the President’s firm resolve to maintain discipline, accountability and effective leadership across all sectors of Government.
The recent ministerial changes and the dissolution of selected boards, together with the impending reshuffle of Chief Executives, reflect the President’s determination to strengthen institutional leadership, enhance coordination and ensure that every appointee remains fully aligned with the Government’s policies and priorities.
The President expects all Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Chief Executives, Board members and other political appointees to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, diligence, humility and respect for established administrative procedures. Conduct that undermines governmental cohesion, institutional authority or the effective implementation of Government policy will not be tolerated.
All appointees are reminded that public office is a privilege and an opportunity to serve the Ghanaian people. Performance across all sectors will continue to be assessed, and the President will take any further action necessary to safeguard the integrity, effectiveness and responsiveness of his Administration.
All appointees are expected to cooperate and commit as we work together to deliver the Government’s mandate and improve the lives of the Ghanaian people.
