Sege highway crash claims 13 lives, leaves five critically injured

Thirteen people died on Wednesday, September 2, in a two-vehicle collision involving a Ford Transit and a Toyota Hiace along the Sege Highway toward Ada.

Officers from the Sege Fire Station responded to the crash, which involved 18 passengers in total.

Five survivors sustained critical injuries and were taken to the Sege Polyclinic for emergency treatment.

Ghana National Fire Service PRO, Assistant Divisional Officer Isaac Kojo Opoku, confirmed the casualties, extended condolences to the bereaved families, and wished the injured a full recovery.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
