The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has successfully repatriated veteran Ghanaian musician Barosky back to Ghana following recent reports surrounding his difficult living conditions in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Confirming the development in an official statement, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, disclosed that the Ministry stepped in to ensure the musician’s safe return as part of its ongoing consular responsibilities to citizens abroad.

“I can confirm that we have repatriated Barosky and he is safely back with us in Ghana,” Mr Ablakwa stated. “As part of our consular mandate, the Foreign Ministry fully sponsored his repatriation to Ghana last night. We are also providing psychosocial support and a reintegration financial assistance.”

The intervention follows public concern raised over the artist’s welfare in the UK. The Foreign Minister expressed gratitude to the Ghanaian public and media personalities who drew official attention to the musician’s situation.

“We are most grateful to our fellow citizens, particularly Nana Romeo, for bringing Barosky’s heart-wrenching plight in Manchester to our attention,” the Minister noted.

Mr Ablakwa further commended the diplomatic staff at the Ghana High Commission in London for their swift response and effective coordination during the exercise. Reaffirming the government’s stance on supporting Ghanaians in distress worldwide, he added, “We strive to leave no Ghanaian behind. For God and Country.”

The high-profile intervention brings relief to fans and well-wishers across the country, as state authorities oversee the artist’s settlement and ongoing welfare support.
