Renowned Ghanaian music manager Kwesi Ernest has announced the passing of legendary gospel musician Mrs Bernice Offei.
The veteran gospel icon passed away on Saturday morning, leaving the Ghanaian creative arts fraternity and fans in deep mourning.
Kwesi Ernest broke the heartbreaking news on his official social media page to inform the public and lovers of Christian music about the loss.
Confirming the sad event, he wrote: “WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF OUR MOTHER MRS BERNICE OFFIE, SHE WENT TO HER MAKER THIS MORNING, A GOSPEL MUSIC LEGEND HAS FALLEN.”
Bernice Offei remains one of the most respected gospel musicians in the Ghanaian music industry, renowned for her soulful composition and timeless hits such as ‘Hold On’ and ‘Life is Short’.
Her contributions over the decades inspired generations of worshippers and gospel artistes across the country.
