A scene of high drama played out at Begoro Christom in the Fanteakwa North District when an alleged thief was nabbed with a stash of stolen farm produce.
The suspect was caught red-handed by a local farm owner and several residents while allegedly attempting to make off with plantain, cassava, and other food crops.
In a dramatic turn of events, the farm owner force-marched the suspect through the streets of Begoro township. Reports indicate the parade was intended to force the suspect to point out the individuals who had previously bought stolen produce from him.
The unusual spectacle drew scores of curious residents onto the streets, all eager to witness the commotion.
The incident has since sparked heated debate among locals. While many residents expressed outrage over the increasing spate of farm thefts in the community, others warned against taking the law into their own hands, urging the public to allow the police to handle the matter legally.
