The Karaga Security Council in the northern region has imposed a curfew on the area.
The curfew was imposed following a clash between residents of Karaga and the military.
One person has been confirmed dead following the confrontation.
Three other people have sustained injuries.
According to the details available, the confrontation started after a rival regent was enskinned following the death of a self-proclaimed chief of the community.
Some individuals reportedly gathered at the regent’s house to pay homage, leading to a confrontation with the military, who intervened to prevent the gathering.
However, the situation escalated, and the residents allegedly started hurling stones at the soldiers.
Gunshots were fired, and one person died.
