The Ghana Police Service has arrested four persons for allegedly stealing Agenda 111 Hospital building materials at Awutu Bereku in the Central region.
The suspects, according to the police, were arrested following the interception of a MAN Diesel truck with registration number GT 8715-Z driven by one of the suspects identified as Kwabena Ayamba.
The vehicle was loaded with the building materials.
Investigation conducted by the police has revealed that the suspects were allegedly contracted by the project contractor to transport the items from the Agenda 111 hospital project site to Tema.
The suspects are currently in police custody and assisting with the investigation.
According to the police, efforts were underway to get the contractor arrested to face justice.
