The President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has extended an invitation to organised labour for a presidential dialogue aimed at discussing pressing national issues impacting the public sector and the well-being of Ghanaian workers.

This engagement seeks to provide a structured and solution-focused platform for the President and organised labour to engage in constructive discussions, consistent with the country’s tradition of social partnership.

The meeting is scheduled for March 17, 2026, at the Jubilee House.

According to Dr Callistus Mqham, Executive Secretary to the President, the dialogue will concentrate on public sector salary reforms, pension sustainability, and related labour market concerns, offering an opportunity for frank exchange between government and organised labour.

“His Excellency considers this engagement a priority as part of the government’s broader economic stabilisation and reform efforts. The objective is to build consensus around reforms that are fair, transparent, and sustainable while safeguarding worker welfare and social justice.

You are kindly requested to confirm your participation and nominate your representatives accordingly. The President looks forward to your valued participation in this important national dialogue,” the statement added.
