The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has confirmed a microlight aircraft accident occurring in Tema on Monday, March 16, 2026.
The aircraft, identified by registration number 9GADV, was en route from Ho to Accra when the incident took place.
According to official flight data, the aircraft was expected to arrive in the capital at 1520 Z.
However, aviation officials noted that the final radio communication with the pilot was recorded at 1418 Z.
The GCAA has confirmed that two individuals were on board the craft at the time of the crash.
Authorities have not yet released specific details regarding the condition of the occupants or the cause of the accident.
The GCAA, which serves as the primary regulatory body for air transport and navigation services within the Accra Flight Information Region, stated that further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
