He extended warm felicitations to Muslims in Ghana and across the globe following the successful completion of the fasting period of Ramadan.

The respected Islamic cleric described Ramadan as a period of sacrifice, discipline and spiritual growth; the message praised believers for their steadfastness and devotion.

He further offered prayers for Allah’s acceptance of fasting, charity and other acts of worship, while invoking blessings, forgiveness and peace for the Muslim Ummah.

According to him, the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr is not only a moment of joy but also an opportunity for reflection and renewed responsibility.

Touching on environmental protection, he noted that he spoke on the theme “Our Earth, Our Future”, which highlights environmental protection as a core religious and moral duty.

He referenced quotations from the Quran stating that the earth and its resources are signs of Allah’s greatness and a trust placed in the care of humanity.

He explained that there was the need for us to understand that Allah gave us the earth as a source of sustenance for all living beings and it was our responsibility to manage these resources with wisdom, moderation and gratitude.

The Office addressed the increasing environmental degradation, indicating that many of the challenges facing the world today stem from human actions.

The chief imam also cautioned against corruption on land and sea, describing such destruction as a consequence of irresponsible behaviour.

The National Chief Imam’s office called on citizens to protect the environment, citing Islam’s promotion of responsible resource use and stewardship as a civic obligation and expression of faith.

The message emphasised genuine faith is reflected in everyday conduct towards others and the environment and urged collective action to address global conflicts and promote peace, unity, and prosperity.
