Private legal practitioner Kwesi Botchwey Junior has launched a scathing attack on the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), accusing the state investigative body of deliberate lawlessness and political victimization in the ongoing trial of Adu Boahene.
In a fiery opinion piece, Botchwey claimed that EOCO has actively suppressed critical information, pointing specifically to the missing core details of the financial transactions at the center of the case.
He argued that the withholding of fundamental disclosures, including the source, ownership, and purpose of the allegedly misappropriated funds, completely undermines the constitutional guarantee of a fair trial.
“An investigative agency has a legal duty to uncover and disclose the truth and not to suppress evidence to manufacture guilt or secure convictions at all costs,” Botchwey stated, warning that such actions taint the credibility of the entire prosecution.
“Where evidence is concealed, justice is not merely delayed, it is perverted.”
The attorney leveled his sharpest rhetoric at the physical manipulation of financial records, alleging that nearly 90 pages of vital banking data were intentionally stripped from the case file. “Even more satanic is the apparent removal of 88 pages from the accused person’s bank statements. This is an absolute display of witchcraft,” Botchwey wrote.
He emphasised that no accused person should face a trial based on “half-baked or selectively curated disclosures,” demanding instead a full and impartial presentation of the facts.
The fallout from the allegations has quickly shifted toward the highest levels of government.
He asserted that in any other serious jurisdiction, EOCO Boss Raymond Archer would have been summarily dismissed.
Instead, he criticised the current administration for its silence, stating that the Leader of the Government appears entirely unconcerned with “coordinated acts of constitutional lawlessness.”
This perceived inaction has fueled deeper political skepticism among the populace.
According to him, local cocoa farmers are increasingly pointing fingers at the presidency, believing that “H.E Jon Da Ma is complicit in all of these well-orchestrated and coordinated attempts to victimize opposition members.” EOCO has yet to issue an official response to the allegations.

Reporting from Tomatoes Republic
EOCO’S “CONCEALMENT” OF EVIDENCE IN ADU BOAHENE’S TRIAL IS ILLEGAL, SATANIC AND A DISPLAY OF WITCHCRAFT
EOCO’s “deliberate” concealment of material evidence constitutes a flagrant assault on the rule of law and a gross abuse of state power.
An investigative agency has a legal duty to uncover and disclose the truth and not to suppress evidence to manufacture guilt or secure convictions at all costs.
The withholding of relevant evidence and fundamental disclosures such as the source, ownership, and purpose of funds allegedly misappropriated by an accused person simply doesn’t make sense.
It undermines the constitutional guarantee of a fair trial, taints the entire investigative process, and calls into question the credibility of every finding and prosecution arising from such conduct.
Where evidence is concealed, justice is not merely delayed, it is perverted and determined by accusers of the accused.
Even more satanic is the apparent removal of 88 pages from the accused person’s bank statements. This is an absolute display of witchcraft…
No accused person should be subjected to half-baked or selectively curated disclosures. The obligation on investigative bodies is full, frank, and impartial disclosure of all material facts, not the presentation of a skewed evidential narrative designed to advance a predetermined outcome.
In any serious jurisdiction like Ghana, the EOCO boss of Tomatoes Republic, Raymond Archer would have been outrightly dismissed. But here in Tomatoes Republic, the Leader of the Government seems comfortable or unconcerned with these coordinated acts of constitutional lawlessness.
Some cocoa farmers in Tomatoes Republic think the Leader of the Tomatoes Republic “H.E Jon Da Ma (JDM) is a complicit in all of these well orchestrated and coordinated attempts to victimize opposition members.
