The latest June 2026 National Tracking Poll by Global InfoAnalytics reveals that President John Dramani Mahama’s job approval rating has climbed to 71%.
This figure marks the highest approval recorded for any president in the firm’s tracking history since 2020. The current rating represents a notable four-percentage-point increase in just three months, rising from the 67% recorded in March 2026.
Conversely, 23% of respondents disapprove of his performance, while 6% hold no opinion.
This momentum is anchored by majority approval across all 16 regions of the country.
The Savannah Region leads with the strongest backing at 86%, closely followed by Western North at 82%, and the Bono Region at 80%.
High approval ratings also sustained in the Volta and Western regions, both at 76%, alongside a solid 73% in Greater Accra.
In the Ashanti Region, the President secured a 55% majority approval, whereas the Ahafo Region registered the lowest overall support at 40%.
While supporters of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) deliver a near-unanimous 91% approval rating, crucial backing also comes from 65% of floating voters.
Notably, Mahama has crossed the aisle to secure approval from 37% of opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters, though 54% of that base still disapproves.
According to the data, 66% of Ghanaians now believe the country is heading in the right direction, contrasted against 27% who feel it is moving in the wrong direction.
Conducted between May 30 and June 12, 2026, the comprehensive survey sampled 8,784 voters across 84 constituencies nationwide.
