The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially announced the opening of nominations for its 2026 Constituency Executive Elections, scheduled to commence on Tuesday, 15th September 2026.
In a press statement signed by Deputy General Secretary Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, the party confirmed that the move “marks an important stage in the Party’s electoral process,” following the general timetable released earlier.
The party directed that all payment transactions for picking and filing nomination forms “shall be made strictly through the online portal (forms.ghanandc.com), using mobile money via all networks.”
To qualify, aspirants, proposers, seconders, and endorsers must “be members in good standing of the Party” and have fully settled their membership dues for the last four years. Party members with outstanding arrears are instructed to clear them via the USSD code 92025# or the party’s official web portal.
Alongside the opening of nominations, the National Secretariat officially authorized the start of campaign activities for internal election aspirants at the constituency, regional, and national levels. Party officials, ranging from regional and constituency officers to ward coordinators, have been instructed to “allow campaign activities by all aspirants within their respective jurisdictions.”
However, leadership issued a firm restriction regarding parliamentary hopefuls, clarifying that “for the avoidance of doubt, this campaign window does not extend to persons who are pursuing or intend to pursue Parliamentary ambitions, including sitting Members of Parliament.” The party cautioned that any infraction of the directive “shall be treated seriously and dealt with accordingly in accordance with the Party’s rules and regulations.”
The secretariat urged all constituents and aspirants to conduct themselves “with discipline, decorum and respect for the Party’s democratic values” to ensure a transparent, peaceful, and orderly electoral process.
