King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Ga Mantse, has held the Sacred Crown Awards 2026, an initiative under his royal patronage aimed at celebrating African heritage, spirituality, wellness, leadership, culture, and excellence.
The awards honour individuals, institutions, brands, creatives, traditional leaders, spiritual leaders, and wellness advocates making a measurable difference.
They recognise work that promotes cultural pride, inspires communities, preserves indigenous knowledge, and contributes to the rebirth of African greatness.
The initiative seeks to shift the spotlight from imported standards of success to stories of African resilience, wisdom, and innovation.

The Ga Mantse’s involvement adds significant cultural weight, reflecting a growing national desire to celebrate African excellence.
The Sacred Crown Awards 2026 also align with Ghana’s broader efforts to promote cultural identity and preserve indigenous knowledge and values. Their recognition of both national and international figures underscores the initiative’s wider cultural significance.
The ceremony took place yesterday, October 31, 2026, at The Dome, La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, in Accra. The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), in collaboration with the Office of the Ga Mantse, described the initiative as an important platform for celebrating Ghana’s rich cultural heritage, social cohesion, and national development.
Prominent clergy, spiritualists, musicians, actors, actresses, and other distinguished personalities received awards at the ceremony.

Speaking to the media, Princess Duncan, Chairperson of the Sacred Crown Awards, urged awardees to look beyond the honours they had received. She noted that humanity was never meant to speak with one voice, but to embrace its diversity while working towards a common purpose.

The Chairman of the occasion, Osaberima Kwesi Attah II, Paramount Chief of the Oguaa Traditional Area, also reminded recipients that the awards honoured not only achievement but also responsibility. He said an award is a symbol that goes beyond personal success and urged recipients to live according to the values and standards that earned them the recognition.
Prominent personalities who received awards included Chief Priest Nana Ankomako Agyei, gospel musician Piesie Esther, rapper Medikal, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, Prophet Ogyaba, Prophet Roja, veteran actress Grace Omaboe, popularly known as Maame Dokono, the Daughters of Glorious Jesus gospel group, prominent chiefs, spiritualists, and many others.
