The consistent sacking of coaches affecting Hearts Of Oak- Charles Allotey

October 3, 2022

Hearts of Oak legend Charles Allotey says the club’s consistent sacking of coaches is affecting the club, and as a result, the club is making a lot of mistakes.

Following the dismissal of coach Samuel Boadu and his backroom staff, the club appointed David Ocloo as an assistant coach and interim coach while looking for a permanent replacement.

In an exclusive interview with Andrews Gyasi on Rainbow Radio said,
“Heart of Oak is committing a lot of mistakes. They are yet to learn. The longest period a coach stays is two years. How do you sack a coach just after three games? You can’t build a team like that”.

“The sacking of coaches is affecting the club, and it is going to have a negative impact on the club going into the African Confederation Cup.

“I don’t really agree with the management of the sack of coaches, especially with Samuel Boadu. They are not managing the team properly. How do you sack a coach who has won five trophies in just two years?”. He added.

Hearts of Oak has subsequently appointed former Kotoko assistant coach David Ocloo as Assistant Coach.

The former Liberty Professional coach will take charge of first-team duties as interim coach as the club continues to search for a new Head Coach.

As it stands, Ocloo will lead the Phobians in their CAF Confederations Cup clash vs Real Bamako this weekend.
