Music curator at Boomplay Yaw Dan has taken a swipe at Samini over his recent ‘beef’ with Shatta Wale.
He argues that although ‘beefs’ are a marketing tool to project musicians, well-established musicians such as Samini do not need to beef to become relevant.
Yaw Dan indicated on Rainbow Entertainment that it was about time we call musicians who are beefing out because it is not healthy for the industry.
The music curator said it is so sad that Samini has stooped so low to beef because he wants to trend.
To him, Samini is too big to be engaging in the so-called ‘beefs’ with other musicians.
”It is bad in the sense that Shatta is one of the most dominant artiste. Samini is at a level like Jay Z. He has not retired but anytime he releases a song, he makes an impact. It hurts me that he is doing that. We need to call them out and tell them they are not serious. Is that where we want to go? People are securing licenses and landing big deals and our musicians are beefing?”
