”There was a reason why I lost. But in boxing, people don’t care about your reason. If you’ve lost, you’ve lost nothing more, nothing less.”

He said because he fought with an injury, it caused him some more pain which he needed to treat before considering another bout.

According to him, ”I want to recover fully and go into a new bout with full strength so that when I lose I will not make any other excuse.”

When asked why he did not postpone the fight due to the injury, he stated, “I saw the fight as a huge opportunity.” Every boxer is looking for that opportunity, and I thought I could have gotten it, but it never came. I put myself at risk, and I don’t want to do it again.”

He told Total Sports Review’s Nyhiraba Kwabena Asiri that he did his best because he was the only boxer who fought Gracia until the end of the final round, saying, “I wouldn’t say I did too well, but I am the only boxer who fought him until the end of the last round.” I did not receive what I had hoped for, but I believe I did my best. He’s a great boxer, but losing to him doesn’t make me a failure.”
