Kofi Adams, the current Member of Parliament for Buem, has been re-elected as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the constituency in the 2024 general elections.
Mr. Adams received 441 votes and won by a margin of 11 votes.
Babs Adamu, his major opponent, received 430 votes.
Kofi Adams won the NDC’s parliamentary primaries in 2019 to run in the 2020 general election.
With 388 votes, he defeated incumbent MP Daniel Kosi Ashaimah.
Meanwhile, The incumbent Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle, Dr. Zenator Rawlings has been re-elected to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the constituency’s 2024 elections.
She garnered 1194 votes out of the 1831 votes cast.
She received more than 90% of the total votes polled.
Meredith Naa Odarkai Lamptey Addy and Nii John Alfonso Coleman, her main contenders, garnered 268 and 360 votes, respectively.
There were nine votes that were rejected.
