A 35-year-old married woman’s finger was nearly severed after she purchased a wedding ring from a friend to replace her missing ring.
Faustina Richster claimed that her original wedding band was misplaced several months ago, so she visited a friend who sells rings for a replacement.
Faustina Richster told the media that after putting the ring on her finger, her hand began swelling after a day.
She claimed that all efforts to remove the trapped ring from her hand were futile; it took the participation of medical officers from Kasoa Mother and Child Hospital and pastors before the ring could be removed.
