A 26-year-old man has reportedly committed suicide at Wassa Dadieso in the Wassa Amenfi East District in the Western Region.
Details emerging indicate that the young man committed suicide following a heartbreak from a relationship.
According to information gathered by Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM, the young man, Joshua Obeng Gyamfi, committed suicide because his fiancee broke up with him.
He is said to have hanged himself after complaining bitterly about the breakup.
Several residents and family members of the deceased have expressed shock over the matter.
Aba Kay, reporting from the area, said the incident has been described as sorrowful.
The deceased was a SHS leaver and a small-scale miner.
According to her, the young man was also from a royal family.
She said the family had forced his door open after attempts to reach him failed.
After the door was forced open, he was found hanging.
The police have since been informed, and the body has been deposited at the mortuary.
