Six people who were participating in a demonstration in Ashaiman over the poor condition of their roads have been arrested.
The protesters were arrested after allegedly clashing with police officers.
Videos of the incident have gone viral, with the police arresting the suspects in a manner some have described as ‘rambo style’.
A group calling itself the Concerned Citizens of Ashaiman is behind the organisation of the demonstration.
The demonstration is to drum home their demands to have their deplorable roads fixed.
The organisers said they were forced to organise the demonstration following several unsuccessful attempts to get the roads fixed by the relevant authorities.
