Hon. Mariama Karley Amui, Chief Executive of Abekuma Central Municipality, has said unequivocally that, other than Dr. Mahamudu Bawumis, there is no other candidate who has what it takes to appeal to Ghanaian people.
According to her, the party has accomplished much and now requires a candidate capable of breaking the 8-year jinx.
Speaking to Rainbow Radio’s Bohyeba, the MCE stated that only Bawumia could appeal to every Ghanaian voter, particularly swing voters.
“We need an appealing candidate who can secure victory for us.” You know, as a party, we have difficulty in the coastal and northern sections of Ghana, so we need a candidate who can win our votes in these areas. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the only one who can do it.”
“I voted for Dr. Bawunia because we need to break the 8. I voted for Dr. Bawumia because he is so competent. Even those who are running know that Dr. Bawumia is the best candidate.”
When asked if she would be surprised if Dr. Bawumia lost, she panted and pleaded, “God forbid Bawumia lose.”
It’s possible he’ll be our presidential candidate.”
She also denied accusations that all government appointees had been whipped to support Bawumia, emphasising the importance of changing the face of the party to attract floating votes.
