An unidentified man has been butchered and lynched by a mob at Gomoa Ekwamkrom in Gomoa Central District of the Central Region for stealing.
According to Abeiku Essel, the Assembly Member in the Ekwamkrom Jukwa Electoral Area, the victim (deceased) was caught committing a crime he had been repeatedly committing.
He said he had been terrorising the people of Ekwamkrom Jukwa by stealing from them in the last 6 years, but he was caught on the day he was lynched to death by the angry mob.
The deceased, believed to be in his early 30s, was notorious for his criminal activities in the community but was caught trying to break into the room of someone in the early hours of Monday, November 27, 2023, when he was caught.
The community members, according to Rainbow Radio Accra, after catching the deceased, used their anger towards him for his years of theft to lynch him to death.
