Rainbow Radio’s newsreader, Nhyiraba Kwabena Asiri, has emerged as the Greater Accra Newsreader of the Year.
He was adjudged the best in the gold category after toppling other professional newsreaders.
The 13th edition of the Foklex Media Awards was held at the National Theatre over the weekend.
Receiving his gold award, the multi-talented newsreader expressed gratitude to God, his family, management, and the staff of the station.
He promised to continue doing his best, as this award is a testament to the good works he has done and what is expected of him in the future.
He encouraged journalists to remain dedicated to their jobs and be ethical and professional in the delivery of their duties.
He also commended the organisers for recognising his efforts.
The Awards Ceremony is an annual event to recognise and celebrate the incredible achievements and contributions of television and radio journalists and presenters across the 16 regions of Ghana.
The event, which showcased the crème de la crème of Ghana’s media personalities, saw several others win awards across 76 diverse categories.
The awards not only acknowledge individual achievements but also serve as a testament to the collective dedication of media professionals to upholding the core principles of their profession.
