Two private security guards have been killed in the Wa community.
The two private security guards were killed at their duty posts in separate attacks at the Wa East office of the Ghana Education Service and the Wa Model Junior High School.
The incident has left residents in the area in fear and panic.
Some of the residents revealed that they woke up to discover that a man had been killed at the Wa Education Service.
The body, according to some residents, had a deep cut on his throat and was placed on a bench.
While the police were called to the scene, the other body was also found at the Wa Model School.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service says it has launched an investigation into the incident.
A brief statement issued by the Police said “the Ghana Police Service has commenced investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of two persons in the Wa Municipality of the Upper West Region.
The two incidents were recorded today, 18th June 2024, at the Wa East Education Service office and the Wa Model JHS School.
We would like to assure the public, especially the residents of Wa, to remain calm as the Police work to get those involved arrested to face justice.”
