The Obuotumpan MA Basic School has recognised Mr. Samuel Mascot Amiah, Chief Executive Officer of Samamiah Shipping Company Limited, for his philanthropic efforts.
The astute businessman was given with a citation by the school in celebration of his passion, commitment, and unselfish philanthropic work, particularly in education.
According to the school, Mr. Amiah has made significant contributions to the school’s progress.
The citation, which was presented to the businessam on June 25, 2024, cited Mr. Amiah’s contribution and desire to see Obuotumpan MIA Basic School grow to become a household name in the community in a sound academic environment where learners have hope of harnessing their potential.
The school further described him as a visionary leader and advocate for quality education, citing projects he has sponsored, which include a 3-unit classroom block with a staff common room at the JHS KG 1-Primary 1 classrooms, a fully furnished headteacher’s office, tables and chairs for all learners in the school, as well as regular support for the feeding programme in cash and kind.”
