The running mate of former President John Dramani Mahama, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has asked Ghanaians to vote for the former president because he is an honest and truthful person.

The former Education Minister asserted that former President John Dramani Mahama is the kind of leader Ghanaians want.

She made the comments during the launch of the NDC campaign in Tamale on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

The running mate, in her remarks, said, “Ghana needs a truthful, respectful leader in the person of John Dramani Mahama.”

“We have tried him; he has reflected on what is going on and is coming up with new ideas. We are very happy that Mahama did not give up on this country and that he is ready to put himself up to rescue, stabilise, and redeem this country.”

She also indicated that Ghanaians are struggling most, especially women.

Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang reiterated the plan by the NDC to establish the Women’s Development Bank.

According to her, the bank will offer assistance to small-scale businesswomen or anyone who does not depend on huge capital to run their business.

The bank, she explained, would do more than just disburse money; it would do much more, including offer training that would allow businesses to thrive.
