Members of the Rainbow Radio Listeners Fan Club took to the streets on Saturday, June 20, embarking on a health walk to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the club’s establishment.
The fitness exercise saw a large turnout of enthusiastic listeners who marched through the principal streets of Pokuase and its adjoining communities.

Beyond its health and wellness benefits, the walk served as a grassroots community engagement platform, allowing club members to interact directly with local residents, market women, and commercial drivers.
During these interactions, community members seized the opportunity to voice pressing local grievances. Residents and taxi drivers appealed to local authorities to urgently address the deplorable state of roads in the area, which they noted has severely hindered transportation and damaged vehicles.
Market women also highlighted the poor condition of the local market structure, calling for immediate renovations to improve their trading environment.

Addressing the participants, the Chairman of the Rainbow Radio Listeners Fan Club, Obaapa Papa, stated that the milestone anniversary offered a perfect opportunity for the club to reflect on its core values of unity and social responsibility.
He emphasised that the walk allowed them to touch base with the people, understand their daily challenges, and promote a healthy lifestyle, while simultaneously encouraging other avid listeners to join the club’s growing network.
As part of the lineup of activities celebrating the five-year milestone, the club will officially launch its anniversary celebrations on Sunday, June 28, 2026, where members are expected to outline future community development initiatives.
