A man in his 60s, Kwame Yeboah, was allegedly physically assaulted by a traditional priest after the priest accused him of spiritually harming him.
The traditional priest, Nana Komfoh, accused the victim (name withheld) of being a wizard who constantly fought and defeated him in spirit. The incident occurred in Dormaa, Bono Region.
Nana Kwame, reporting on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, revealed that the priest stated that the victim had continuously attacked him in his sleep, so he decided to physically attack him.
The reporter said the priest met the victim at a junction and subjected him to a physical attack.
Nana Kwame reported that the priest’s journalist son witnessed the incident and assaulted the priest for attacking his father.
The victim has since been sent to the hospital, and the traditional priest has been arrested and questioned by the police.
