Executive Director of Patriot Ghana, a group affiliated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwesi Korang has taken a swipe at the party, accusing it of over-pampering President Akufo-Addo.
He opined that the party only does things that President Akufo-Addo likes, and he does not want to be challenged.
Kwesi Korang said it looks as if the president has performed black magic on the NPP.
“NPP has overpampered Akufo-Addo. We have over-pampered him. Since he decided to become the presidential candidate in the party, we have overpampered him. I don’t know if he has cast a spell on the NPP because the story does everything that he asks for.”
He said this while speaking with Kwabena Agyapong on Rainbow Radio’s International Election Watch.
Kwesi Korang noted that the president wanted to take hold of the party even after leaving office, and because of that he wanted to see to it that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia becomes the candidate.
He said it was obvious from the beginning that Dr. Bawumia was not a viable candidate and he was bound to fail, but the party ignored all these signs just to please Akufo-Addo.
