Incumbent Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Mavis Hawa Koomson, has extended gratitude to her constituents for the opportunity they gave her to serve for 12 years as the MP.
In a statement, the MP said although she could win the election to go back to parliament, she was grateful they gave her the chance to serve.
To the party NPP, she noted that although they have been defeated, they should remain resilient since they have the ability to overcome the challenges confronting the party.
‘’To my party faithfuls, I understand the pain and disappointment this outcome has brought. But let us not forget that the NPP is a resilient and enduring force. Our ability to overcome challenges and rise again has never been in doubt. Stay strong, for brighter days are ahead,’’ she stated.

My dear constituents,
Though I may not have won this election, my heart is filled with gratitude for the rare opportunity and privilege you gave me to serve as your representative in Parliament over the past 12 years.
Throughout my journey, I have always been guided by a singular purpose: to be a servant of the people. This temporary setback will not deter me from pursuing what I firmly believe to be my calling—serving you, the people of Awutu Senya East.
To my party faithfuls, I understand the pain and disappointment this outcome has brought. But let us not forget that the NPP is a resilient and enduring force. Our ability to overcome challenges and rise again has never been in doubt. Stay strong, for brighter days are ahead.
