One person was killed in an attack by unidentified gunmen on a bus conveying passengers in Bawku on Monday, January 6, 2025.
The bus, which was escorted by security, was travelling from Bolgatanga to Bawku when it was attacked by unknown gunmen.
One of the passengers, Nuaima Awudu, a young trader visiting Bolgatanga on business, died as a result of her injuries.
Several more were injured and are currently seeking treatment at the Bawku Presbyterian Hospital.
A similar occurrence occurred on Sunday, January 5, which resulted in the death of a person attempting to relocate to another section of town.
