President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Victoria Emeafa Hardcastle as the acting chief executive officer (CEO) of the Petroleum Commission.
Her appointment was announced in a statement issued from the Office of the President and signed by Executive Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama.
The statement said the appointment was done in accordance with Article 195(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 11(1) of the Petroleum Commission Act, 2011 (Act 821), and is subject to the constitutionally required advice of the Commission’s Board and consultation with the Public Services Commission.
The appointment takes effect today, Friday, January 17, 2025.
