Minsiter-Desigate for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, has underscored the need for Ghana to strengthen cultural values and address pressing social issues in Ghanan.
She has supported the call for our cultural values to be incorporated in our curriculum so our children will learn the Ghanaian values.
She was responding to a question on her position on LGBTQI and the call by President John Dramani Mahama for our cultural values to be incorporated into our curriculum.
The President had also revealed that it would more appropriate for a government-sponsored bill since it would be more effective than the current Private Member’s Bill.
At her vetting on Wednesday January, 22, 2025, Naa Momo Lartey said it will serve Ghana go if we integrate Ghanaian family values into the country’s educational system.
“As the constitution stands, and as the voices of the people of Ghana have loudly declared, I cannot go against that. Beyond the enaction of the law is to imbibe it into our curricula so that the children will know some of these family values right from the beginning. I think it is more sustainable in addition to a law working,”
