The Gomoa Ojobi District Police Command has arrested a 22-year-old scrap dealer for allegedly stealing over 200 aluminium cooking pots (Dadensen) in the Gomoa-Ojobi township.
He’s been identified as Osaka Mumuni. Rainbow Radio’s Oheneba Ademah reported that residents in the area had complained about missing pots.
Following this, the traders implemented measures to apprehend the perpetrator(s) of the rampant theft.
According to Oheneba Ademah of Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, the scrap dealer was arrested on Monday, February 24, 2025.
Some of the residents who spoke with him said that while cooking, these scrap dealers would dump their food on the ground and steal their cooking pots.
