The police in Assin Wurakese Camp, located in the Assin Foso Municipality of the Central Region, has arrested a 43-year-old woman for allegedly biting a customer’s testicles during a violent altercation.
The suspect has been identified as Esi Affumwaa. Information available indicates that the incident occurred on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 6 p.m.
The situation has left the 36-year-old victim, a farmer by the name Osman, hospitalized with serious injuries.
Rainbowradioonline.com gathered that the victim bought a cigarette for GH₵1.20 from Affumwaa’s drinking spot.
Osman promised to settle the remaining 20 pesewas later.
The next day, he returned to the drinking spot, intending to buy another cigarette and settle his outstanding debt.
He gave GH₵5 to Affumwaa, thinking his old debt would have been deducted from it.
However, when he later attempted to make another purchase, Affumwaa confronted him, demanding the 20 pesewas, which led to a heated argument.
The argument escalated into a physical altercation following which the suspect allegedly struck him on the head with a stick, causing him to fall to the ground.
The children of the suspect also joined in beating the victim before the suspect allegedly bit his testicles.
The victim had to scream for help, following which he was rushed to the hospital. The Assin Foso District Police Commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Jacob Kumedzro, confirmed the incident, indicating that investigation was underway.
