As part of its efforts to improve operational efficiency, Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) has established a 24-hour economic service.
The core objective, the management of the company said, is to streamline its publishing and printing processes.
Speaking at the official launch of the 24-hour operational system on Monday, March 3, 2025, the Acting Managing Director of GPCL, Nana Kwasi Boatey, expressed optimism that the move will boost productivity, ensure faster turnaround times, and contribute to national economic growth.
He also indicated that the initiative will help the company meet the growing demands for high-quality printing and publishing in Ghana.
“The trajectory of the company significantly changes starting from today. This is a bold step towards efficiency and economic transformation. For 60 years, Ghana Publishing Company Limited has played a pivotal role in the company’s development. From publishing government gazettes, printing official documents, legal publications, books, and corporate materials. Our company has been the house of Ghana’s information dissemination.
However, the world is evolving rapidly, and the printing industry is not an exception.
The increasing demand for speed, accuracy, and digital transformation has compelled us to rethink our strategies.
“We cannot afford to be left behind in this fast-paced technology world. It is for this reason we have introduced the 24-hour operational system starting today.”.
On his part, the Minister for Government Communications, Mr. Felix Kwakye, said the company’s decision to roll out the 24-hour initiative aligns with the government’s broader digital transformation agenda and commitment to improving service delivery in the public sector.
