The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt to arrest robbers who allegedly shot two officers in the Upper East region.
A statement issued by the police disclosed that the two officers were shot on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Poyamirea at the outskirts of Binduri in the region.
A police preliminary investigation has established that the deceased officers were in mufti and on their private motorbike on their way to Binduri.
The robbers, according to the police, attacked and shot them and took their motorbike away.
The names of the officers have been withheld as part of efforts to officially inform their families.
The police expressed condolences to the bereaved families and service personnel.
