Two children have been found dead in a pastor’s car parked in his house in Ofuman in Techiman of the Bono East region.
The deceased children have been identified as Maa Afia, 4, and Yaw Ankama, 6.
Nana Kwame, reporting the story on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, stated that the incident has devastated the families of the children.
He said the pastor had parked the car because it had developed a fault and had planned to get it repaired upon returning from a journey he was embarking on.
According to the reporter, the girl’s grandmother left her granddaughter in the care of the boy’s grandmother so that she could go to the farm and return for her later.
The little girl and boy later went to play but did not return.
The families went looking for them after they failed to return home, but their efforts were futile.
According to Nana Kwame, the pastor returned from his trip and went to bring in a repairman to fix the problem.
However, to their surprise, the two minors were discovered dead in the car.
It is unclear whether the two died in the car or were killed and then dumped in the car.
The police were notified, and the bodies have since been retrieved, deposited at the mortuary, and are awaiting autopsy.
